Supporting Lockheed Martin’s workplace culture and core values, the Health and Wellness team has established the Kindness Project, whose mission is to maximize the wellbeing of the LM organization and its employees by encouraging and inspiring employees to perform acts of kindness to themselves and others, both within Lockheed Martin and in their external communities. Our vision is of a kinder workplace culture where employees feel empowered to pursue their best selves and to positively influence others to do the same. The Kindness Project will facilitate a culture of kindness through grassroots activities to care for and support others—ultimately creating an environment of compassion and acceptance. This initiative will help drive and sustain a culture where Lockheed Martin employees can be successful while feeling valued and affirmed. After all, studies have shown that individuals who are consistently kind have 23% less stress hormone (cortisol) than the average person, and age more slowly.* The Kindness Project is available to all employees—get involved today!
