2021 Benefits Catalog

OPEN ENROLLMENT NOV. 2-13, 2020

Benefits shopping list

As you shop for your 2021 benefits:

  • Review our medical plans and consider which best fits your needs. If you haven’t considered the Consumer medical plan, now is a great time to see if it might be right for you.
  • Review your beneficiary and dependent information and make any necessary updates.
  • Determine if you want to participate in the Health Savings Account (HSA), Medical or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSAs), as well as parking/transit FSAs. To participate, you must actively enroll each year.
  • If you do not participate in open enrollment, your healthcare coverage will remain the same in 2021, but your HSA, as well as Medical, Dependent Care and parking/transit FSA contributions will not continue.

Same great style... no changes to your medical plan price tags

Despite rising medical costs, we have decided to keep your per-paycheck rates for all medical and dental plans the same for 2021. Your medical, dental and vision plans will remain the same.

We can all do our part to control healthcare costs because, as a self-funded plan, we truly are in this together.

WHAT IS A SELF-FUNDED PLAN?

Our plan is administered by UnitedHealthcare, but UnitedHealthcare does not pay for our healthcare costs — both Caleres and our associates do. Being self-funded allows us to better customize medical plans to meet your needs. Since we share the costs for healthcare, each of us must take responsibility for actively managing our healthcare, which means making smart, informed decisions.

Want a new benefits look?

If you are currently enrolled and want to make changes to your current coverage, participate in open enrollment (November 2 – 13, 2020). If you don’t enroll, you won’t have an opportunity to make changes until the next annual open enrollment period, unless you experience a qualified life event (for example, a birth, adoption, marriage or divorce).

HOW TO ENROLL

Log in to Employee Self Service (ESS) and make your benefit choices by Friday, November 13.

REVIEW YOUR BENEFICIARIES

Even if you aren’t making changes to your life insurance coverage, be sure to review your beneficiary information and make any necessary updates.

IMPROVED SYSTEMS

Watch for more information about Ceridian Dayforce, our new HR and payroll system, that will go live at the end of this year. The new system will make getting the information you need faster and easier.

What happens if I don’t participate in open enrollment?

You’ll have the same benefits you have now if you’re currently enrolled with a couple exceptions:

  • You will not be enrolled in Medical, Dependent Care or parking/transit Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). Per IRS rules, you must re-enroll in FSAs each year if you wish to participate.
  • If you’re in the Consumer medical plan, you will not be eligible to receive the Caleres contribution to your Health Savings Account unless you enroll. The HSA also requires you to re-enroll and set your own contribution rate every year. You must save at least $26 in your HSA for 2021 if you want to receive the Caleres contribution.
